Rolling Up Our Sleeves: Here’s Exactly What We Did

The first thing I did was pre-spray the carpets with our professional-grade cleaning solution. Think of this step like soaking a really stubborn pot before you scrub it — the pre-spray gets to work breaking down all that deeply embedded grease, grime, and dirt before we ever run a machine over it. It loosens the bond between the soiling and the carpet fibres, which makes everything that comes next dramatically more effective.

Next, we brought in the CRB — that’s our counter-rotating brush machine. If the pre-spray is the soak, the CRB is the scrub. Those rotating brushes agitate the cleaning solution deep into the carpet pile, working it into the fibres and mechanically loosening all the built-up debris that years of vacuuming had left behind. It also helps lift those flattened, matted fibres back up, which starts to restore that fresh texture even before we’ve done the final extraction step.

Then came the big gun — our truck-mounted hot water extraction system. This is where the real magic happens. Our truck mount generates high heat and high pressure, and together, those two things are incredibly powerful. The high heat helps sanitize the fibres, breaking down bacteria and allergens that have been living in those carpets undisturbed for years. The high pressure flushes out all that loosened dirt and rinses the cleaning solution clean out of the pile, leaving nothing behind but fresh, clean carpet. No sticky residue. No leftover chemicals.
